No. Our games are mission-based adventures, so you’re usually trying to uncover something, solve a case, find a cure, or complete another objective rather than simply escape a locked room. For safety, guests are never physically locked or chained inside.

An escape room is an interactive group adventure where your team searches for clues, solves puzzles, makes connections, and works together to complete a mission before time runs out.

At Room Escapers Boston, we think of an escape room as an escape from reality, not just an escape from a locked room. Each of our four Boston escape games has its own setting, story, and style of puzzles.

No experience or special knowledge is required. Our games are designed around observation, communication, creative thinking, and logic.

First-time players are welcome, and your Game Master is available if your team needs a hint along the way.

Most games last approximately 60–70 minutes. Including check-in, game instructions, and post-game photos, most groups should plan to spend approximately 80–90 minutes with us.

Please arrive on time and allow extra travel time for downtown Boston traffic, parking, and public transportation.

The biggest keys are teamwork and communication.

A few tips:

• Share what you find with the rest of your team.
• Keep discovered clues and objects organized.
• Pay attention to details throughout the room.
• Don’t be afraid to try different ideas.
• Keep track of your remaining time.
• Ask your Game Master for a hint when you need one.

Most importantly, have fun and get involved in the adventure.

Room Escapers Boston has been locally owned and operated since 2015 and offers four unique escape games across two downtown Boston locations.

Our games feature creative puzzles, detailed environments, and original adventures designed for first-time players and experienced escape room fans alike. Several of our games also incorporate Boston and New England connections, including Panacea’s apothecary setting and Pirate’s Booty II’s connection to Black Sam Bellamy and the Whydah.

Both locations are conveniently located near the Freedom Trail, MBTA stations, restaurants, bars, and other downtown Boston attractions.

Yes. Smaller groups are welcome.

For groups of two, we particularly recommend Panacea or Pirate’s Booty II: The Lost Ship, although you’re welcome to book any available game.

Standard bookings may be shared with other guests unless you add the Private Upgrade.

Kids and teens are welcome, with a few guidelines:

• Ages 11–17 may play without an adult participating when a parent or guardian remains on site.
• Ages 6–10 require one participating adult for every four children.
• Children 5 and under should not participate.

If you’re planning a youth or school group, contact us and we can help recommend the best game and booking option.

Standard Admission games may be shared, meaning another group can reserve remaining spaces in the same game.

For $29.95 per game, the Private Upgrade reserves the entire game exclusively for your group without requiring you to purchase every available ticket.

Groups of 5 or more playing the same game receive the private upgrade at no additional charge.

We understand that plans change and will always try to help when possible.

Please contact us at least 48 hours before your scheduled game whenever possible. Standard reservations are generally non-refundable, but we can reschedule your booking or provide a voucher for a future booking.

Our 112 Blackstone Street location is fully accessible and includes accessible entrances, restroom facilities, and game space.

Accessible parking is available nearby at the Haymarket/Parcel 7 Garage, and assistance animals are welcome.

Our 3 School Street location is inside the historic Old Corner Bookstore. Because of the historic building layout, there is no elevator to the game areas.

Accessibility needs vary, so we encourage guests to contact us before booking. We’ll help determine which location and game will provide the best experience for your group.

Standard Admission is $42 per person. For groups of 8+ in the same game it is $39 per person.

If you are a group of 2-4 and would like to guarantee a private game for your group, the Premium Private Upgrade is an additional $29.95 per game, not per person.

Room Escapers Boston has two downtown Boston locations a short walk apart. Panacea, Streaming, and Organized Chaos are located at 3 School Street inside the Old Corner Bookstore, while Pirate’s Booty II: The Lost Ship is located at 112 Blackstone Street near the Boston Public Market and North End.

Each game offers a different experience. Panacea is a balanced adventure and a good option for smaller or newer groups. Organized Chaos is built for large groups and offers a stronger puzzle challenge built around an investigation. Streaming is our most difficult game and is ideal for smaller groups looking for a serious challenge. Pirate’s Booty II combines treasure hunting, exploration, and a pirate adventure for a unique experience.

Yes. First-time escape room players are welcome in all of our games. Your Game Master will explain everything before you begin and can provide hints during your adventure whenever your team needs help.
